Q1 2021 Performance of Top Platformer Games on iOS in Latin America

The first quarter of 2021 has been an interesting period for platformer games on iOS in Latin America. Data collected by Sensor Tower provides us with insights into how these games have performed in terms of downloads, revenue, and weekly active users.

Tomb of the Mask by Playgendary Limited saw its downloads fluctuating, peaking at around 30K in early January and then hitting a low of 19K towards the end of February. However, the game managed to bounce back, ending the quarter with over 26K downloads. Weekly active users showed a declining trend from 282K in late December to 238K in early February, but there was a notable increase to 279K by the end of March.

Super Mario Run, developed by Nintendo Co., Ltd., experienced a steady trend in downloads, starting at 26K in late December and reaching 27K by the end of March. Weekly active users remained relatively stable, with a slight increase from 97K at the end of December to 97K at the end of March.

RobTop Games AB's Geometry Dash saw downloads in the low thousands, with a dip in late March to around 726 downloads. The number of weekly active users showed a slight increase from 15K in late December to almost 17K by the end of March.

Subway Surfers from Sybo Games ApS had a strong performance with downloads starting at 97K in late December and, despite some fluctuations, ending the quarter with 69K. The game's weekly active users saw a significant rise from 1.37M at the beginning of the year to 1.37M by the end of March.

Lastly, Playdead's INSIDE by Playdead had a mixed quarter. Downloads began at 13K in late December, saw a significant drop to 3K in mid-February, but recovered slightly to 2.5K by the end of March. Weekly active users saw a decline from 18K at the end of December to 5K by the end of March.
